KernbegriffCore term

You can actually change, pause, or end a step in this workflow.

Kennst du das?Ever had this?

At a cake sale you can still hold back the next piece before it goes across the table. The option counts only when changing, pausing, or ending really works in the running workflow.

DefinitionDefinition

An option, actually usable in the current workflow, to alter, pause, or end a step.

Was es nicht istWhat it is not

Unlike a control illusion in orchestration, a person's rating of their ability to intervene in one orchestrated workflow that exceeds another assessor's level on the same scale by more than a margin stated before the rating, an intervention capability is an option that can actually alter, pause, or end a step in the current workflow. Unlike an oversight release, which is a person's permission under authority that already exists, it is the usable option in the workflow, not the act of permitting. This term does not state that a workflow meets Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, Article 14, and it is not a clinical intervention. It records a usable option in the current workflow, not a legal conformity claim and not a permission under an oversight release. Unlike a capability declaration, which is only the description of functions and operating conditions, this term is the usable option. Unlike an escalation signal, which is the request for a human decision, this term is not that request.

Source: SWAMANITAI conceptual working definition SWA26-0069. The same source set distinguishes this option from a control illusion in orchestration. An oversight release in this vocabulary is a person's permission under existing authority. This term does not state that a workflow meets Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, Article 14, and it is not a clinical intervention. No conformity to a named standard is claimed.
