MANITAI-DimensionMANITAI dimension: ROBMANITAI
Einfach erklärtIn plain words
Du beschreibst den Zustand eines Roboters danach, was hineingeht, was er festhält, was herauskommt und wie er läuft, nicht nach Wollen oder Fühlen.
You describe a robot's state by what goes in, what it tracks, what comes out, and how it runs, not by wanting or feeling.
Kennst du das?Ever had this?
You do not say the kettle is impatient. You say: on, water at 95 degrees, off at 100, on its base, with mains power. With a robot, the same description uses defined inputs, variables, outputs and conditions, and names no wanting or feeling.
DefinitionDefinition
A description of a robot state by defined inputs, variables, outputs, and operating conditions, without attributing inner states such as wanting or feeling.
Was es nicht istWhat it is not
Unlike anthropomorphism, attribution of human characteristics or inner states to a nonhuman (Epley, Waytz, and Cacioppo, 2007), a technical state description uses defined inputs, variables, outputs, and operating conditions. Unlike the design stance (Dennett, 1987), a general interpretive strategy, it is one description of a robot state, not that strategy. Unlike a capability declaration, an offer of functions for a use, it states that state, not that offer.

RegelnRules
- Record the description and the robot, and set the four use-flags only when the description uses defined inputs, defined variables, defined outputs, and defined operating conditions.
- Do not record an attribution of an inner state such as wanting or feeling, an offer of functions for a use, or a discrepancy between a display and specified data as this description.

Für NormungsgremienFor standards bodies
Source: RM:0084. Anthropomorphism is Epley, Waytz, and Cacioppo, 2007. The description uses defined inputs, variables, outputs, and operating conditions and does not attribute inner states such as wanting or feeling. The design stance is Dennett, 1987, a general strategy, not this one description. A capability declaration is a neighbouring term in this vocabulary. No conformity to a named standard is claimed.
Für OrganisationenFor organisations
Names the case in which a robot state is described by defined inputs, variables, outputs, and operating conditions, without attributing inner states such as wanting or feeling.
