Ein Beschreibungsfehler ist die richtige Handlung am falschen Objekt, weil die Objekte ähnlich sind (Norman, 1981); bei „Richtige Markierung, falsches Ziel“ bleibt die beabsichtigte Auswahl markiert, und die Handlung verändert ein anderes Objekt. „Eine Betätigung mit zusätzlicher Folge“ erreicht das markierte Ziel und fügt eine weitere Änderung hinzu; hier erreicht die Handlung dieses Ziel nicht. „Zielabweichung vor Betätigung korrigiert“ verlangt einen Unterschied zwischen angezeigtem und beabsichtigtem Ziel; hier findet der Vergleich keinen Unterschied.

A description error is the right action on a wrong object because the objects are similar (Norman, 1981); correct highlight, wrong target keeps the intended selection highlighted and changes another object. One activation with an additional consequence reaches the highlighted target and adds a further change; here the action does not reach that target.
