Earlier working name: Subset expected instead of the whole collection; Teilmenge statt Gesamtbestand erwartet

You expect the action to hit only the items you can see, but it also changes ones you cannot see.
Kennst du das?Ever had this?
You select all on the first page of your inbox and delete. Later you find that older messages on other pages were deleted too. With an AI, you expected the action only on the shown subset, and a hidden item in the same collection changes.
DefinitionDefinition
The state in which a person expects an action only on the displayed subset, while the triggered command also changes at least one undisplayed item in the same collection.
Was es nicht istWhat it is not
A description error is the right action on a similar wrong object (Norman, 1981); hidden items changed too expects the displayed subset and also changes at least one undisplayed item in the same collection. Correct highlight, wrong target changes an object other than the highlighted one; here the highlighted object need not differ from the intended object. One activation with an additional consequence adds a change beside the intended target; these items lie inside the commanded scope.

RegelnRules
- Record the action, the collection, the displayed subset, the scope the person expects, and the list of changed items that lie outside the displayed subset.
- Set undisplayed_outside_subset only when every ref in that list lies outside the displayed subset, and set the case only when the expected scope is the displayed subset and the count is at least 1.

Für NormungsgremienFor standards bodies
Source: UXD-20261004-024. A description error is the right action on a similar wrong object (Norman, 1981). Correct highlight, wrong target is a neighbouring term in this group. The expectation field attributes no fault to the person, the cause may lie in the interface, and it is not for assessing individuals. No conformity to a named standard is claimed.
Für OrganisationenFor organisations
Names the case in which a person expects an action only on the displayed subset, while the triggered command also changes at least one undisplayed item in the same collection.
