VerantwortungsübergabeResponsibility handover
MANITAI-DimensionMANITAI dimension: ROBMANITAI
You state explicitly that a named person or unit is now responsible for this one task.
Kennst du das?Ever had this?
At the end of a shift one group tells the other that the open orders now sit with them. With a robot, the same handover is when people or teams explicitly pass that task on. The robot does not become responsible.
DefinitionDefinition
An explicit transfer of an agreed task responsibility between responsible people or organisational units.
Was es nicht istWhat it is not
Unlike the responsibility gap (Matthias, 2004), the claim that nobody can be held morally responsible for a learning machine's unforeseeable actions, a responsibility handover explicitly transfers an agreed task responsibility between people or units. Unlike a human–robot object handover (Strabala and others, 2013), it transfers that responsibility, not practical control of an object. Unlike nobody's outcome, a state in which no party must explain or correct an outcome, it names the parties.

RegelnRules
- Record the transfer, the task, the two parties, that the parties differ, that the transfer is explicit, and that the task responsibility was agreed.
- Do not record a transfer of an object, a missing item, or a state in which nobody must explain an outcome as this transfer. When a party is a person, treat that party reference as personal data.

Für NormungsgremienFor standards bodies
Source: RM:0074. The responsibility gap in Matthias, 2004, is a moral claim about learning machines, not this explicit transfer. An object handover in Strabala and others, 2013, does not by itself transfer agreed responsibility. Nobody's outcome and loss of an item at handoff are neighbouring terms in this vocabulary. No conformity to a named standard is claimed.
Für OrganisationenFor organisations
Names the case in which agreed task responsibility passes explicitly between responsible people or organisational units.
