Im Unterschied zur These vom erweiterten Geist (Clark und Chalmers, 1998) sagt dieser Begriff nicht, dass ein externes System Teil der Kognition ist. Unlike the extended mind thesis (Clark and Chalmers, 1998), this term does not state that an external system is part of cognition. Unlike transactive memory (Wegner, 1987), it is not a shared directory of who knows what among people. Unlike cognitive offloading (Risko and Gilbert, 2016), it is a share of recurring work steps over a stated period, not one physical action on one task.
