Earlier working name: Intention, target and outcome jointly checked

MANITAI-DimensionMANITAI dimension: UXDMANITAI

For one episode you compare the action and the target you named beforehand with the outcome you inspect afterwards.

Kennst du das?Ever had this?

You say beforehand that only the first paragraph is to get shorter. Afterwards you compare that with what is on the page. With an AI, this is the same case when the action and the target stated earlier as intended are compared with the outcome inspected later.

DefinitionDefinition

The process in which a person, for one interaction episode, explicitly compares the action and the target stated earlier as intended with the outcome inspected later.

Was es nicht istWhat it is not

Meant–done distance is a scale from zero to one; this comparison records no such distance, and the outcome need not match. Target mismatch corrected before activation corrects the target before activation; here the action and the target stated earlier are compared with the outcome inspected later. The evaluation stages of Norman's seven stages of action compare a perceived state with goals (Norman, 1986); this process uses an earlier explicit statement and a later comparison with the inspected outcome.

Für NormungsgremienFor standards bodies

Source: UXD-20261004-064. The gulf of evaluation is the effort of determining system state (Norman, 1986). The evaluation stages of the seven stages of action compare a perceived state with goals and are not this process. Meant–done distance and an oversight check are neighbouring terms in the existing vocabulary. No conformity to a named standard is claimed.

Für OrganisationenFor organisations
