Fünf-Schritte-PrüfroutineFive-step review routine

Was halte ich fest?

Five short questions for every AI answer: Does the cited source open? Is it current enough for this decision? Does the source really say that? Does a second source agree? What do I note down?

Kennst du das?Ever had this?

Before you pass on a claim from a newspaper article, you see whether the source opens, whether it is current, whether the sentence is really there, whether an independent source agrees or you note the disagreement, and you write what you keep. You check a program answer in these same five saved steps.

DefinitionDefinition

A review routine of five recorded steps on an AI output: four checks — the cited origin resolves; the cited state is current for the decision; the claim is present in the cited source; an independent source agrees or the disagreement is recorded — and a closing note that states what the reviewer retains.

Was es nicht istWhat it is not

Close to SIFT (Caulfield) and lateral reading (Wineburg), which also trace origin and seek independent coverage; this routine differs by requiring a currency check, a stored outcome for each step (including not_performed) and a closing note. Unlike the CRAAP checklist (Blakeslee, 2004), each of the four checks is made against one named property.

Prüfbare BedingungTestable condition

routine_complete(r) := every step in {origin, currency, support, cross_check} has r[step].value in {holds, does_not_hold, undetermined, not_performed} AND r.note.text not empty; routine_passed(r) := routine_complete(r) AND every step in {origin, currency, support, cross_check} has r[step].value = holds

Für NormungsgremienFor standards bodies

Each of the four steps with outcome holds, does_not_hold or undetermined is a check in the sense of individual Internet-Draft draft-ehstand-oversight-acts-00 (work in progress; not an IETF standard or IETF consensus document; no IETF standards status), Section 2.5; a step recorded as not_performed is not an oversight check, and the closing note is not a check.

Für OrganisationenFor organisations

A short routine staff can apply to an AI answer that cites a source, producing a dated note of each step's outcome.
