KernbegriffCore term

EntscheidungsabgabeDecision clearing

You hand more and more everyday decisions to a system of artificial intelligence and you report relief at that handing over.

Kennst du das?Ever had this?

At the family meal you more often let someone else choose, and you are glad not to choose. With an AI it is the same when a person hands over more everyday decisions and reports relief.

DefinitionDefinition

The state in which one person hands an increasing number of everyday decisions to a system of artificial intelligence and reports relief at that handing over.

Was es nicht istWhat it is not

Unlike an oversight decision, an oversight act in which the overseer selects a course of action with respect to an object, decision clearing is not that one selection. It is the increasing handover of everyday decisions, together with reported relief. Clearing in this name is that handing over. It is not clearing in finance, the settlement of obligations between parties. Unlike delegation skill erosion, the gradual decline, under increasing delegation of a task to an AI system, of a skill that the person previously performed without that system, a decline of skill is not required. One handover does not establish the increase. The term does not say that the person ought to hand decisions over.
