KernbegriffCore term
You are the agent and you take over context information from the previous session or from another agent.
Kennst du das?Ever had this?
The next shift at the club café reads the note from the previous shift. You take over that state from someone else, even when the note does not say everything.
DefinitionDefinition
The mechanism by which an agent takes over context information from a previous session or from another agent.
Was es nicht istWhat it is not
Unlike inheritance in programming, in which a type takes on the structure of another type, context inheritance is an agent taking over context information from a previous session or another agent. Unlike genetic inheritance, this is not a passing on of biological traits. Unlike loss of an item at handoff, which is task-relevant information failing to reach the recipient, this term names the taking over, and it does not state that what is taken over is complete or correct. Unlike condition drift, it is not the loss of a limiting condition.

RegelnRules
- Record source_kind as previous_session or other_agent, and record what was taken over as taken_over_ref.
- Do not treat the taking over as a statement that the context is complete or unchanged.

Für NormungsgremienFor standards bodies
Inheritance is already used in programming for a type that takes on structure from another type. The source calls the mechanism a technical bridge for task continuity and does not state that the context taken over is complete or correct. That the task can continue is the purpose noted here, not a feature of the definition. No conformity to a named standard is claimed.
Für OrganisationenFor organisations
Names the case in which an agent takes over context information from a previous session or from another agent.
