KernbegriffCore term

Glatter SchildSmooth shield

You supply a rough thought, and artificial intelligence gives it a smooth form that hides whether the content underneath holds.

Kennst du das?Ever had this?

At the club you state a rough idea, and another person turns it into a smooth proposal that hides whether the content holds. With an AI the program supplies that same smooth form for your raw thought.

DefinitionDefinition

The polished form that a system of artificial intelligence gives to a person's rough input, and that conceals whether the content underneath is viable.

Was es nicht istWhat it is not

Unlike text style transfer, which maps a text from one style to another chosen style, the smooth shield is the polished form a system gives to a rough input, with the raw thought from the person and the form from the system. Shield here means that the form conceals whether the content underneath is viable. It does not protect that content. Unlike fluency blindness, it is that polished form, and it is not a lower check rate for more fluent outputs. Unlike semantic ablation, a claim about the loss of rare precise words when a text is smoothed, this term is that form and is not evidence that the content has become thinner.

Für NormungsgremienFor standards bodies

Related literature: processing fluency (Reber and Schwarz, 1999); text style transfer as studied in natural-language processing. No conformity to those works is claimed.
