Getting the interface set up and started is harder work for you than the controlling that comes after.
Kennst du das?Ever had this?
You sharpen the skates for a long time, and the skating after that is the lighter part. At the interface you report the same, the preparation heavier than the control after it.
DefinitionDefinition
An experience, reported by a person operating a brain–computer interface, in which the preparation of a session, as set-up, calibration, or both, weighed heavier than the control in that session which followed.
Was es nicht istWhat it is not
Calibration is the established name of the technical procedure that prepares a session with a brain–computer interface. Setup weight is not that procedure. It is the person's report that the preparation, as set-up, calibration, or both, weighed heavier than the control which followed. Unlike a handed start, the report that another person prepares the interface and that the control after that preparation is one's own, this experience does not require another person and does not require the control to be called one's own.

RegelnRules
- Record the person, the session, whether the preparation was set-up, calibration, or both, and that the person reports that preparation as weighing heavier than the control which followed.
- Do not record the technical preparation procedure, by itself and without that comparison, as this experience.

Calibration is the neighboring name of a technical preparation procedure. This entry is the reported contrast in weight between session preparation and the control which followed. ISO/IEC 8663:2025 is a vocabulary for brain–computer interface technology. IEEE P2731 is a draft terminology project; a glossary proposal from that work was published in 2021. This entry records a reported experience of operating such an interface. No conformity to ISO/IEC 8663:2025, to IEEE P2731, or to any other named standard is claimed.
Für OrganisationenFor organisations
Names the experience in which preparing a brain–computer interface session, as set-up, calibration, or both, weighed heavier than the control which followed.
