After a change you go back to the previous view and take the change as undone, but the change remains.
Kennst du das?Ever had this?
You change your profile picture and tap the back arrow, thinking that cancels the change. The new picture stays saved. With an AI, you return to a previous view, the view changes, and the change remains in effect.
DefinitionDefinition
The state in which, after making a digital change, a person returns to a previous view, the view changes, the person takes that return as having undone the change, and the change remains in effect.
Was es nicht istWhat it is not
Undo is the reversal of an earlier action (Abowd and Dix, 1992); returning mistaken for undoing changes the view, leaves the content change in effect, and is taken as that reversal. Execution mistaken for preview takes the change for a mere display at the first activation; here the change remains after the return. Where undo targets the wrong action, an undo is invoked; here none is.

RegelnRules
- Record the change time before the return time, that the view changes at the return, that the person takes the return as undoing, and that the content change is still in effect.
- Do not record an invoked undo as this state. Take the person's reading only from the stated evidence.

Für NormungsgremienFor standards bodies
Source: UXD-20261004-007. Undo as reversal of an earlier action is the neighbouring account (Abowd and Dix, 1992). Execution mistaken for preview is a neighbouring term in this group. The belief field attributes no fault to the person and is not for assessing individuals. No conformity to a named standard is claimed.
Für OrganisationenFor organisations
