KernbegriffCore term

KoordinationsblindstelleOrchestrator blindspot

You coordinate the parts, and a relevant interaction between them is not known to you.

Kennst du das?Ever had this?

At a club fair you coordinate cake and drinks, and you do not know that both need the same table.

DefinitionDefinition

A gap in which the coordinating actor lacks information about relevant interactions between subtasks.

Was es nicht istWhat it is not

Unlike swarm opacity, in which observers cannot reconstruct which contributions and connections produced a group output, an orchestrator blindspot is a lack, on the part of the coordinating actor, of information about relevant interactions between subtasks, and it can exist even when the course is later reconstructable. A cognitive delegation cascade is the passing of one task through successive levels. This blindspot is missing information about a relevant interaction at the coordinating actor. Both can be present at once. The retinal sense and the bias sense of blind spot are not meant.

Source: SWAMANITAI conceptual working definition SWA26-0007. The English blind spot is already used for the retinal spot that does not see and for a bias one does not notice; those senses are not meant. The same source set distinguishes this gap from swarm opacity. No conformity to a named standard is claimed.

Für OrganisationenFor organisations

Names the case in which the coordinating actor lacks information about relevant interactions between subtasks.
