A copy of your voice or a saved AI text suddenly acts around you, and you did not start it.
Kennst du das?Ever had this?
At home a speaker suddenly plays a message in a copy of your voice, and you did not press play. With a voice copy or a stored output it is the same clone echo when it acts around you and you did not start it.
DefinitionDefinition
The unexpected effect, in the physical surroundings of a person, of an externalized artifact of that person, such as a voice copy or a stored output, without that person having triggered it.
Was es nicht istWhat it is not
Unlike a biological clone, a genetic copy of an organism, a clone echo is not an organism. It is the unexpected effect, in the physical surroundings, of an externalized artifact of a person, without that person having triggered it. Unlike a deepfake as a synthetic medium in general, this term is that unexpected effect in the surroundings, not the medium alone. Unlike shadow holdings, the state in which a component exists in a person's name and is unknown to that person, this effect is the unexpected return into the surroundings, and the person may already know the artifact. Unlike a tone proxy, the use of artificial intelligence to speak in a person's place in a tone that person does not command, this effect is not a use the person starts. Unexpected means not expected by that person. Effects on third parties, outside that person's physical surroundings, are not this term. Unlike voice cloning, the making of a copy of a person's voice, this term is the untriggered effect of such a copy or of a stored output, not the making of the copy.

RegelnRules
- Record the person, the externalized artifact, that the effect is in the physical surroundings, that it is unexpected, and that the person did not trigger it.
- Do not record a use the person starts as this effect, and do not record a biological copy as this effect.

Source: AUGMANITAI neologism register (2026). A biological clone is a genetic copy of an organism. Voice cloning is the making of a copy of a person's voice. This term is the unexpected effect in the physical surroundings without the person's trigger. A voice copy of an identifiable person is personal data under the GDPR and may be protected by US state voice, likeness and biometric laws. No conformity to a named standard is claimed.
Für OrganisationenFor organisations
