KernbegriffCore term
IterationsdisziplinIteration discipline
You set a limit on the rounds for one piece of work with an AI, and the rounds you make stay inside that limit.
Kennst du das?Ever had this?
You set yourself three rounds of the fair text and you stop at the third. With an AI it is the same discipline when a stated limit on the rounds is set and the rounds that are made stay within that limit.
DefinitionDefinition
The finding, for one piece of work assisted by artificial intelligence, that a stated limit on iteration is set and that the iterations which are made stay within that limit.
Was es nicht istWhat it is not
Unlike satisficing (Simon, 1956), stopping a search when one option meets an aspiration level, iteration discipline is not that one stop. It is the finding that a stated limit on iteration is set and that the iterations which are made stay within it. Work may continue up to the limit. Unlike a mediocrity loop, the repeated takeover of the first accepted version with no further work, further iterations may be made here until the stated limit. Unlike a standing trait of a person, this finding is about one piece of work. The term does not say that a person ought to set a limit.

RegelnRules
- Record the stated limit on iteration for this piece of work and whether the iterations that are made stay within it.
- Do not record a person's general habit as this finding, and do not record the finding when no limit is stated.

Für NormungsgremienFor standards bodies
Satisficing in Simon (1956) is stopping a search when one option meets an aspiration level. A mediocrity loop is a neighbouring term in this vocabulary. No conformity to a named standard is claimed.
Für OrganisationenFor organisations
Names the case in which a stated limit on iteration is set for one piece of work assisted by artificial intelligence and the iterations which are made stay within that limit.
